Who I am

I’m a husband, father, and follower of Jesus.

I serve as the Senior Pastor at Snover Heritage Church in the Thumb of Michigan, and I care deeply about helping people know God in a real, everyday way—not just as a Sunday experience, but as a lived relationship.

I love teaching Scripture in a way that’s clear, practical, and accessible, especially for people who didn’t grow up in church or have a strong biblical background. I believe God’s Word is powerful enough to transform ordinary lives, and simple enough for ordinary people to understand.

Alongside my pastoral work, I’m passionate about writing, building resources through EMBER FAITH, and helping create spaces where people can grow in faith and take real steps toward Christ.

At the center of it all is my family. Jen and my kids are my greatest earthly gift, and everything I do flows from that foundation.

I don’t take lightly the calling to serve people, lead a church, and point others to Jesus. My heart is simply to be faithful with what God has entrusted to me and to help others walk closely with Him.

My Personal Mission Statement

I am a husband, father, and shepherd, created by God to proclaim His truth, reach people far from Him, and guide them into deeper faith, sent to the Thumb of Michigan to meet those who may never enter a church and help them discover the love, presence, and transforming power of God so that people find Christ, families are restored, the forgotten find belonging, and Scripture becomes accessible to ordinary people, with my wife, family, and fellow laborers in ministry.

My Professional Life

Before stepping into full-time ministry, I spent several years in the private sector focused on business growth, development, sales, marketing, and franchising. During that time, I had the opportunity to work with a variety of service-based businesses—helping them grow, build stronger teams, and expand their reach.

That experience gave me a front-row seat to how the right strategy, leadership, and support can completely transform a business.

Leveraging my experience in business development, I also provide business consulting services and franchise consulting services.

It’s incredibly rewarding to help people take the next step—whether that’s scaling a great business or stepping into the world of ownership with the right franchise model and support.

What I'm About

Through Emberfaith and pastoral work, my mission is pretty simple: point people to Jesus. Whether that’s sharing scripture, writing devotionals, or simply walking with people through life, I believe faith is meant to be lived out in real and practical ways.

Life at Home

When I’m not writing or serving at church, life is happily chaotic thanks to our two young kids. They’re full of energy, curiosity, excitement—and just enough sass to keep us on our toes. My wife and I wouldn’t trade it for anything (though a little more sleep would be nice).

We spend a lot of time outdoors when we can—fishing trips with the kids have quickly become some of my favorite memories. There’s something about being out on the water together that slows everything down and makes space for the good conversations and the loud laughter.

We’ve also recently taken on a new hobby as a family: making maple syrup. What started as a simple idea has turned into something we look forward to each year—tapping trees, checking the sap, and watching it slowly turn into something sweet. It’s messy, a little unpredictable, and honestly a perfect picture of life right now.

Family life keeps me grounded, gives me plenty of stories to tell, and reminds me daily of God’s goodness in the small, everyday moments.
